The Covenant

Not a contract. A covenant. Not perfection. Pursuit.

Five Declarations

The Words of the Covenant

I

To Love God

I will pursue intimacy with the Father through prayer, Scripture, and worship. I will listen for His voice and follow where He leads, even when the path is not yet clear.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Matthew 22:37

II

To Love Neighbor

I will actively look for ways to serve those around me. I will prioritize the vulnerable, the isolated, the forgotten — the ones my city has overlooked.

Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:39

III

To Serve Faithfully

When I am able and a need arises, I will respond. I will be present in my community, not just my home. I will not cross the street to avoid inconvenience.

Faith without works is dead. James 2:17

IV

To Gather Consistently

I will not neglect the assembly of believers. I will break bread with my covenant community, pray with them, and show up when showing up is hard.

Do not give up meeting together. Hebrews 10:25

V

To Return When I Fail

When I fall short of this covenant — and I will — I will not be ashamed into hiding. I will return. Grace marks my beginning. Grace sustains my journey.

His mercies are new every morning. Lamentations 3:23

“When I fail, I will return. When I rest, I will not be shamed. When I serve, I will not boast. Grace marks my beginning. Grace sustains my journey. Grace defines my community.”
